There are various options of accommodation outside Kathmandu. At Nagarkot Village, the chalet-styled accommodation is situated some 2000m above sea-level, where visitors can view the sun setting on Mt Everest, and experience living without electricity.
In Pokhara, the Shangri-la Resort & Hotel (not related to the international Shangri-la chain of hotels originating from Singapore) is a delightful resort hotel with great view of farmland and mountains. It has beautifully landscaped gardens for theme parties and some function rooms for meetings, while the guest room interior is pleasant and comfortable.
In Chitwan, the key attraction is the natural wilderness in the Royal National Park and most of the hotels are safari-themed. And being environmentally conscious, the facilities and amenities here are basic. Hence visitors should be prepared for life without TV, water heater, shower gel, toothbrush and tooth paste. But some of them do have basic meeting facilities and are great for outdoor team-building activities.
