The Empire Hotel & Country Club is the most comprehensively equipped venue for MICE events in Brunei.  The sprawling compound, originally built as a guest house for the Royal family, contains an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Class golf course, country club house, conference center, cinema, several restaurants and lounges, and of course sea-facing hotel rooms and villas.

For meetings and conferences, the main hotel Atrium Building offers three seminar rooms for 10-50 guests in classroom style.  The Indera Kayangan Ballroom can hold conferences for up to 350 delegates in classroom style, with fairly high ceiling, and pre-function area suitable for small desktop exhibitions.

Larger convention or exhibition may be held at the Grand Ballroom, located a distance away from the main hotel building and may be accessible by golf-buggy or walking.  The Grand Ballroom can take up to 1,400 delegates classroom-style, and may be partitioned into four rooms if required.  There are also other smaller rooms in this Conference Center building.  The pre-function area is somewhat narrow for a hall of this grand size.

Finally, the Empire Theatre is a unique function space that can be used for dinner show for 525 guests in banquet style, or re-configured as a 700 seats theatre-style meeting hall.

All the guest rooms are at least 60 square metres in size, but the interior decor is a little dated and some rooms are sparsely furnished.  Other small meeting rooms includes the Lagoon, Waterfall and the Marine Center

Together with the golf course, country club, pool and all the greenery in this hotel, corporate groups may not even need to step out of the property to conduct training and team-building activities.  However, although the property has spectacular view of the sea, the coastline is rocky and therefore, organizers should not plan any beach activities.
