A key hotel with meeting facilities is the Le Meridien Angkor, which is a stone-throw away from Sofitel. The hotel's architecture is somewhat awkward, resembling hospital or some academic research centre. There is a jarring miss-match of interior and exterior styles at different areas (eg. a modern lobby, a Romanesque swimming pool, coffee house with furnishing and decor stuck in the 1970s, etc).
Thankfully, the ballroom, though similar in size to Sofitel's, is quite tastefully decorated with art pieces and artifacts. An advantage of this hotel is the availability of a large open grass field that can be used for games or set up for large functions.
