Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort, located about 20 minutes drive from the airport, and 10 minutes drive from Angkor Wat, has an old-world colonial charm.  The 238-room hotel is set amidst lush green garden with a man-made lake.

Sofitel has various beautiful areas for theme dinners and activities.  For example, the Grand Court situated near the lobby can accommodate a cocktail party, and the poolside can host up to 100 guests comfortably.  The fine-dining French restaurant sitting above the lake is another excellent venue for smaller groups.  And of course there are the coffeehouse and other drinking and dinning outlets.  The hotel banquet can also cater for theme dinners at some of the famous hotels in Siem Reap.  Apart from F&B outlets, the hotel has great spa facilities that can handle up to 15 guests at any one time. 

The ballroom, the only function room currently available, is small by MICE standard.  The ballroom is good for a classroom-style meeting with stage for 80 persons.  The ballroom has natural sunlight from the glass doors leading to an open garden, where guests can go for some fresh air or outdoor cocktail.  The good news is that a new, bigger ballroom is being constructed at the moment and would serve the MICE purpose well, once the economy picks up.
