Originally opened in 1925 as Hotel Esplanade for passengers of the famed Orient Express, The Regent Esplanade today still retains the luxury and the old-world charm of yesteryear, yet equipped with all the modern facilities and technologies to pamper its guests.
As a MICE venue, it has several function rooms to cater to different event sizes. The most elegant space is the Emerald Ballroom. The unique oval shaped ballroom is adorned with ornate feature windows and has a spectacular dome-shaped roof. The room can accommodate about 200 classroom-style seating. Banquets and cocktail receptions of up to 300 people is also possible, while a ballroom dancing theme party would probably bring guests back in time to the 1930s. Of course, the oval shape may also bring some limitation and challenges in seating arrangement and in maximizing the seating capacity of the room.
Three small seminar rooms – Istanbul Suite, Paris Suite and Venice Suite – are perfect for smaller meetings of between 90 to 150 delegates. The Istanbul and Paris Suites can each be partitioned into three separate rooms as breakout sessions.
The Club with VIP room located at the basement is a private function area for up to 200 guests. It has its own private entrance, separate cloakroom, bar and VIP Room. With its low ceiling and discreet entrance, this venue is excellent for intimate private meetings with dining facilities.
Apart from theses, there is also the Boardroom for senior management meetings of up to ten people. Finally, the Oleander Terrace is a beautiful outdoor venue for theme cocktail parties, dinners and exclusive events of up to 1000 guests.
The guests rooms are large and luxurious, ensuring delegates a good night’s sleep after a long day of conference or incentive program.
