Renaissance Pattaya Resort & Spa is one of the upcoming new hotels in Pattaya, as the city gets ready to benefit from the developments under Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor. Slated to soft launch in September 2017, the Hotel welcomed international media delegates attending Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau’s (TCEB) IMFT 2017 on 15 August 2017.

Despite still being in the final stages of completion, the Hotel put in great effort in furnishing a few guest rooms, function areas and restaurants for the purpose of this media preview.

For entertainment, the Tiffany Show excerpt was certainly a crowd puller, while impromptu singing performance by Mrs Supawan Teerarat, Vice President of Strategic and Business Development, TCEB, brought the night to a high.

Food served on that night was fair, considering the Hotel was not even in operation yet. However, service could have been better. It was quite strange that the staff missed serving the appetizer and second course to the host from TCEB for a very long time, until being reminded. It was quite awkward for the guests sitting around the host, who politely waited till the host got served, and the food went cold. When the host was finally served the main course promptly, the guest next to her didn’t get his food. All this while, the team of supervisors were standing just opposite the host. A little bit more attentiveness would have been good.

Nevertheless, these could be just one of those “pre-teething” problems, and the media preview was a memorable night for all.
