Mae Fah Luang Art & Cultural Park is a great venue for outdoor theme party. On arrival, guests will be greeted by lush greenery and a teakwood building, a replica of the architecture of the ancient Lanna Kingdom in northern Thailand. Those interested in horticulture will find many plants in the park that are of fragrant varieties and rare species.
The open space garden compound is able to host outdoor theme dinner or cocktail reception for about 100 guests. Organizers can arrange with local vendors to set up stalls for international guests to get a taste of local delicacies and see local arts and crafts. MICE groups who wish to spend more time here than just a dinner may also arrange teambuilding exercises here, with themes that go along with the exhibits of artifacts from the Lanna culture. Of course, care should be taken to understand and respect the exhibits which are mostly Buddhism-related.
While large MICE groups may be subject to weather risks, smaller groups of up to 50 may be happy to note that there is nice dining hall that is fully sheltered and air-conditioned. The kitchen serves excellent northern Thai cuisine, although on the night of this review, most of the guests were too full from the earlier cocktail food sampling that we were unable to consume much of the main courses!
Cultural performances unique to northern Thailand can be arranged both indoors and outdoors.
The Mae Fah Luang Art & Cultural Park is a part of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation projects under Royal Patronage. It is a private non-profit organization whose key objective is in helping people in poverty through education and conservation of culture. To organize and event here, it is best to contact your local DMC. For more information, please click here.
