The Le Meridien Chang Rai Resort has a sprawling compound with lush green gardens and a river running through. This naturally provides many options for outdoor functions, be it teambuilding activity in the large swimming pool, theme dinner at the terrace and garden space, cocktail reception and alfresco dining at the Italian restaurant with a river view, or experience giving offerings to monks at the riverbank as they row down the river.

Apart from the abundance of outdoor venues, Le Meridien Chiang Rai also has good indoor meeting facilities. Housed in a newly built wing, the main function room – Utopia – can house up to 1,230 guests in theatre-style seating arrangement. With high ceiling of about 6 meters, the Utopia is definitely suitable for large conferences and grand dinners. What is unique about this room is the high-tech lighting system that can create different effects… you can even go ‘star’-gazing indoors! Together with state-of-the–art sound and video projection systems, MICE organizers really need not engage third-party AV contractors!

The Utopia can be partitioned into two rooms. Utopia 1 is suitable for conference of up to 385 delegates in classroom-style seating arrangement. Utopia 2 is a smaller meeting room that can accommodate up to 290 guests classroom-style. Organizers from Europe and America would appreciate this room as it has natural sunlight from the large window.

The pre-function foyer leading to the ballrooms also benefit from natural sunlight. The foyer is great for coffee break and cocktail reception but may be a bit narrow for desktop exhibition purpose.

There are three other indoor spaces available for smaller workshops and board meetings.

Le Meridien Chiang Rai Resort has a total of 159 rooms. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but getting through the room entrance without the mosquitos can be a challenge!
