The Fukuoka Kokusai Center is a single-hall multi-purpose venue. More like a small indoor stadium, the Kokusai Center is suitable for hosting indoor sports, concerts, conventions and exhibitions. Fixed arena-style seating and mechanical pull-out seats are located on the upper level.

The full seating capacity with seats on all four sides is 7,000. When used as a convention hall with grand stage backdrop, the hall can accommodate up to 5,000 guests with seats on 3 sides and additional seats on the floor level.

When used as an exhibition hall with mechanical pull-out seats retracted, the second level can be used as for additional exhibition space or F&B area. As with the International Congress Center, the food and beverage requirements for events in the Kokusai Center can be easily fulfilled by the neighboring Sun Palace Hotel, although the venue management gives organizers the freedom to choose their own caterers.

The 33-year old venue has achieved 85 per cent occupancy over the past year, mostly for exhibitions and sometimes conventions. One point to note is that MICE organizers need to engage their own AV and IT team because equipment is not provided by the venue.

The Fukuoka Kokusai Center, together with the Marine Messe Fukuoka and the International Congress Center which are managed by the same company, are strategically located along the bay, where MICE organizers can reserve the Bayside Place Hakata for social and networking function, or book a dinner cruise for VIPs.
