Tired of having seminars in hotel function rooms? How about immersing the delegates in one of Antoni Gaudi’s masterpieces – Casa Batllo? Yes, it’s possible to conduct business meetings, seminars or organize cocktail reception or dinner inside Casa Batllo, a key representation of Modernisme architecture built between 1904 and 1906.
Casa Batllo is a museum and key tourist attraction of Barcelona, featuring Gaudi’s work. Yet, it also offers spaces for events, proving Gaudi’s seemingly whimsical, fantastical architecture and interior designs are also functional and practical.
On the first floor, the Planta Noble can accommodate up to 350 guests for cocktail reception. It includes the indoor hall as well as an open air terrace. Guests will be intrigued by the unique window and stairway designs here.
For seminars, MICE organizers may use the Jujol Room on the second floor. The Jujol Room has been restored to reflect the original magic and splendor of the house. The Jujol Room can sit up to 300 guests in classroom style, or 220 for dinner. There are, however, some pillars in the room which may obstruct view of projections.
For the most unusual experience, MICE group should host a night function at Casa Batllo’s Attic and Chimney area – the most captivating part of the building. With its long shape and unique roof design, the Attic has two rooms most suitable for long-table dining of 20 and 40 guests. On the rooftop, guests can enjoy cocktail while enjoying Gaudi’s colorful roof and chimney designs, and learning about the legend that inspired Gaudi. The rooftop space accommodates up to 150 guests in standing cocktail style.
Casa Batllo is one of the most inspiring places to host a meeting or reception. You can’t say that you’ve visited Barcelona unless you’ve experienced Casa Batllo!
