The Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk is an excellent convention hotel. It has a whopping 1,053 rooms to accommodate medium to large MICE groups, ballrooms and function rooms of different sizes to fit different needs, as well as interesting indoor space and restaurants for networking and social function.

With a large and high-ceiling lobby, large MICE groups checking into the hotel will not feel claustrophobic. Groups may also choose to do a private check-in via the convention floor directly after alighting from the bus bays.

Its huge ballroom, the Argos, can accommodate up to 1,800 guests in classroom-style or 3,300 in theatre-style seating. With an unbeatable ceiling height of 8 meters, the Argos is the perfect venue for large convention or grand gala dinner with big stage backdrop. The ballroom can be partitioned into up to 6 equal-sized smaller rooms to suit different needs. A more modest ballroom is the Navis which can take up to 400 guests in classroom-style or 900 in theatre style-seating. The ceiling height, though lower, is still a good 5 meters high. This is suitable for holding conferences and seminars. The room can be partitioned into 3 sections. Both the Argos and the Navis have wide and high-ceiling pre-function areas, making even tea-breaks and cocktails a grand affair!

4 medium-size banquet rooms are good for smaller events of between 100 to 250 guests in classroom-style seating. There are 16 small rooms available for use as board meeting, breakout session or private dinners.

For MICE social and networking functions, event organizers may want to check out its 10 food and beverages outlets, especially those on the top floors which offer panoramic view of Fukuoka city, its beaches and sea. Organizers may also book the various Penthouse spaces, which offer the same spectacular view, for private theme dinner. The spaces can accommodate standing parties of between 50 to 120 guests.

Talking about scenic views, most of the guest rooms provide either the view of the sea with the Fukuoka Tower and city, or view of the sea with the Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome – home to Japan’s best baseball team. One of the room categories – the Panoramic Suite – offers both views, as the name suggests. Although not a very large room, the bathtub is located in the all-glass, sharp tip of the building, thus giving this unique view and experience. Other room-types are generally large and spacious even by international standard, but the sound proofing between rooms may need some improving, as conversations from neighboring rooms and from the corridor can be heard quite clearly.

The Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk is well located next to the Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome, a baseball stadium with a capacity of over 38,000 people. This puts the Hilton in a perfect position to support mega-sized conventions groups which may use the Dome as a venue, or MICE groups at the Hilton may consider renting some of the Dome facilities, such as the box rooms and field, for sports-related team-building activities and parties.
