The Peninsula Manila has some interesting venues to offer for MICE groups. The elegant ‘Conservatory’ on the upper lobby level is a unique venue with tall windows and natural daylight. With its classic interior architectural features and layout, stepping into this room seems to be taking a step back in time. While it can be imagined to be most suitable for evening cocktail reception for up to 200 guests, the ‘Conservatory’ can also be used for seminar in the day simply by closing the curtains.
How about a more casual setting for meetings, or lunch in a pavilion on a pond? The pavilion is part of the Spices restaurant, which offers views of the pool and the gardens. The pavilion can take about 40 people banquet style, and the entire restaurant sits 102 guests.
Late into the night, MICE planners may consider organizing a theme party at the eclectic Salon de Ning. Guests can enter the glamorous and sophisticated world of Madame Ning in a live music club reminiscent of 1930s Shanghai. Amidst individual lounges with themes ranging from boxing, airship to shoes etc., one can indulge in Salon de Ning’s signature Rosé Champagne and other uniquely created cocktails.
The above unique venues are in addition to the main Rigadon Ballroom in the ground level, with a seating capacity of about 400 guests in classroom style, and 3 smaller function rooms next to it. These are supported by 12 boardrooms on first and second levels, suitable for board meeting or breakout sessions.
This grand old dame is located in the heart of Manila’s financial and retail hub, within walking distance to shopping and dining areas such as the Greenbelt and Glorietta. Consisting two blocks of 493 rooms, the Peninsula Makati is excellent for small to medium-size events.
